Job Title: Production Team Member Location: Long Island City Position Job Summary:

Magnolia Bakery is hiring full-time associates to join our growing production team based in Long

Island City. Food Production Team Members work together to assemble a wide array of Magnolia Bakery’s most famous desserts ensuring quality, yields, safety measures and production demands are met. The ideal candidate is a team player – driven, energetic with a can-do attitude.

Reports to: Production Manager, Director of Bakery Operations Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in bakery plant production or other related fields
  • Familiarity with food production equipment preferred
  • Food Assembly line experience
  • Solid Knife Skills Principal Duties:
  • Reading, interpreting, and following the daily production schedule.
  • Cut, prep, and mix ingredients while honoring company guidelines and recipes.
  • Work in an assembly line to produce a variety of products according to Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring all finished products reflect the highest standards of quality, aesthetics, and taste.
  • Operate and monitor proper functioning of equipment; may include commercial ovens, mixers, sheeters and depositors.
  • Ensuring proper setup of all food preparation areas, pre- and post-production.
  • Troubleshoot production issues; work with Production Manager for resolution if needed.
  • Ensuring proper cleaning/sanitation of tools and equipment.
  • Follow through quality and safety checkpoints in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Support in packing out finished product inventory.

Physical demands and work environment: ●    Standing for 8 hours a day ●         Can lift 50lbs.

  • Ability to work in cold rooms if needed, 60F.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with coworkers and management.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception. Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

Requirements:

  • High energy, positive, hands-on and highly responsive with good decision-making skills.
  • Able to work as a team with a diverse group of people.
  • Follows all policies and procedures. Takes direction and constructive criticism well, will ask questions if necessary.
  • Understands expectations of role and works within the boundaries of the role.
  • Organized with good time management skills.
  • Hours of work are approximately 40 hours per week.
  • Food sanitation, teamwork, dependability and strong verbal and written communication.
  • Able to work in 60F temperatures if needed.

Job Type: Full-time Salary:
